A Frog Kissin’
A Frog Kissin’ Pale Ale replaces the Wassail on our seasonal tap. This Belgian inspired pale ale is pale straw in color, has a spicy, floral nose and a crisp, fruity palate.  Lost of American hops, a fun Abbey yeast and some candi sugar came together to create this quaffable ale.

Luck o’ da Irish Stout
Just in time for St. Patty’s Day, here’s our Irish Stout on nitrogen. Irish stouts are typically drier and hoppier than their English counter parts, and this one is no exception.  A touch more darkly roasted malts and a generous helpin’ of flaked barley gives this stout a richer and slightly drier mouth feel than our Oatmeal Stout.  Aromas of caramel, brewed espresso and chocolate cake leap from the glass and your tongue is caressed by flavors of bittersweet cocoa and toasted coconut.
A true stout drinker’s fantasy in a glass, this batch won’t last long.
 Cheers

Blue Frog Porter
This dark, rich and hoppy porter is replacing the Luck o da Irish stout on our nitrogen tap. The true origins of this loverly beer are shrouded in mystery with several Englishman claiming credit, but we do know that it almost became extinct during the Industrial Revolution. Some crafty home brewers and beer enthusiasts helped to revive the style in the early 1970’s and our friend the porter has regained a portion of its former glory.  This porter is chocked full of hops, caramel and chocolate malts. Enjoy!

This crisp, malty lager was brewed to celebrate the late arrival of spring and to help ward off that long rainy winter.

Poor Richard’s Ale
Ben Franklin was an amazing gentleman for his time. A constant tinkerer, inventor, scientist, diplomat and negotiator, and avid ale consumer, Ben was never one to stay still for very long. One of our favorite Franklin quotes has become our mantra for the brew house:
”Beer is proof God loves us and wants us to be happy”
In honor of Ben’s 300th birthday, we are pleased to release Poor Richard’s Ale on our nitrogen tap.  This historical recipe is similar to a style of beer popular during Ben’s exciting lifetime.  Brewed with several malts, flaked corn, molasses, English hops and a turbo charged ale yeast, this beer rocks.
Aromas of fresh fruit and honey followed by creamy texture and slightly bitter sweet finish make this beer tasty.  I think Ben would be proud.

Blue frog Double IPA ( DIPA)
This uniquely Californian Style originated in Southern California by accident.  The creator being new to the brewery doubled his homebrew hop and malt ratios to create a signature beer.
Our DIPA is homage to brewers across the West Coast.  Plenty of hops and malt make this small batch beer a killer.
Aromas of citrus fruits, fresh bread and malt dazzle the nose, while a delicate balance of hop bitterness and malty sweetness play on the tongue.  This beer finishes dry and slightly bitter, but leaves you with an alcohol warming feeling.

Blue Frog Oatmeal Stout
The fabled stout returns…. but better than ever. Our new batch of Oatmeal stout dark and mysterious and is packed with flavors of caramel, fresh brewed espresso and melting chocolate.  A generous helping of flaked oatmeal gives this beer it’s rich, creamy texture along with being infused with Nitrogen.
Oatmeal Stout is a distant cousin of London Porter, originating in the late 1800’s and hailing from Northern England.  Less hoppy than its cousin, this beer still packs a punch.

Blue Frog Porter!
This long awaited dark robust beer replaces our Pub Ale on Nitrogen! Historically London Porters were the first mass-produced commercial beers.  Unfortunately the Industrial Revolution (1880’s if you forgot) and Londoner’s passion for cheap bathtub gin nearly wiped this style into extinction.  The Porter revival started in the mid sixties and this wonderful beer has made an amazing come back thanks to home brewers and craft brewers around the world! Our porter is dark black with notes of espresso and chocolate on the nose. Carmel, citrusy hops and malt balls dance around your tongue as this smooth high alcohol beer slides down your throat. Yummy!

Frog in the Rye Part Duex
Very rarely does a sequel come along that is as good as or better than the original. Case in point basically any Disney movie and its sequel, if you catch my drift. But there have been classic movies and sequels that have done amazing i.e. the Godfather collection, Star Wars and of course Herbie the Love Bug.  Well time to add another sequel to that list…. Frog in the Rye Part Duex.
Brew in anticipation of the Great American Beer Fest in September of this year, we revisited one of our more popular seasonal ales and tweaked it ever so slightly.  More Rye malt and less dark caramel malts give this beer light straw color and balanced malty palette.  A healthy amount of hops added late in the boil and again in the fermentation tank give the aroma a slight citrus kick.  Served on nitrogen to create the creamy mouth feel we all love.
Mark my words…. We will win with this one!

“Froggenbock”
“It’s alive … it’s alive!” he shouted as yeast bubbles slowly started appearing in the iodine bucket.
This newest addition to our seasonal beer collection is modeled after the traditional Maibock, a pale lager beer brewed in Northern Germany to celebrate the arrival of spring and the month of May.
Our Froggenbock took a long time to ferment out and still has a little sweetness hiding on the front of your palette to offset the long bitter hop finish. Pale straw in color, and abound with malty aromas, this beer is thirst quenching with its flavors of toasted nuts, citrus fruit and sweet spice. One taste and your tongue will say “It’s alive … it’s alive!”

Blue Frog “ Walkin’ the dog” Brown Ale
This seductive beer is the latest edition in our nitrogen tap seasonal beers.  Brown ale is one of the first recorded beers produced consistently in England with origins around the 15th century.  The advent of mass-produced cheap, clear glass bottles and drinking vessels made this beer nearly extinct around the beginnings of the industrial revolution, in favor of lighter colored pale ales.  Craft brewers both in the States and England have revived this classic style and it has flourished.
. Back in the day, a common excuse to get out of the house and down to the pub was to “walk the dog” and Blue Frog pays homage to the brewers of old with this rendition of a Southern London Brown.
“Walkin’ the dog” has fruity aromas with hints of hazelnuts and toasted almonds. Crisp on the palette, this beer is lightly hopped to accentuate the malty characters.

Oak Aged Red Ale
This is the first beer in our new series of small batch (40 gallons) oak aged ales.  This beer is our red ale that has been aged in a French Oak barrel from the Burgundy Region in France.  Before I purchased the barrels they were used for Syrah production for the last three years and as a result the oak influences have mellowed dramatically.
This beer has aged for 20 days in our brew house after being filtered. Aromas of toasted nuts, caramel and vanilla. Flavors of roasted malts, bitter hops and an alcohol bite (about 7 % abv) are present.  Yummy!

The Froggy Bottom
At long last a Pilsner has entered our seasonal line up.  Brewed with special German malts, imported hops and a bottom fermenting yeast (hence the Bottom in the name), this pale straw color brew is bound to satisfy any thirst.  Aromas of malty grain, crisp yeasty undertones, and a light floral spicy hop aroma tempt you to enjoy this small batch beer.
